Kanji Tattoo Fail on 7 virtues of Bushido on the Internet

You can find many free images for them on the Internet. Sadly, it is very common to spot wrong, not properly written and even severe lack of important kanji, and people end up having those wrong symbols on their body…When I image-googled “7 virtues of bushido tattoo “, the result was shocking… Here is the search result.

Another search result below with severe lack of important kanji for ‘Honour’ and ‘Loyalty’. Each virtue needs 2 kanji symbols.

Honour: 名 & 誉
Loyalty: 忠 & 義

However, the image blow shows only one Kanji symbol for them, 誉 & 忠, missing 名 for honour and 義 for loyalty.

PDF or JPG?

All letters in any file with ‘Spine‘ tag fits in a 22cm (8.66inch) x 8cm (3.14inch) frame. Depending on the number of letters, the size of each letter varies to match the sentence to the vertical limit of 22 cm and they may not fill the entire frame horizontally. New line starts after certain syllables if necessary or appropriate to do so (Please see the example image at the end of this page to see how it is laid out for this particular product)

Is there a proper order that they are supposed to be in?

From my understanding YES and the 7 characters are put in the same order as explained in the book called ‘Bushido, The way of Samurai’ by Inazo Nitobe. Some of the virtues is the base of the others and should come first or next to each other. For example, Veracity (誠) is the base or equal to Honour (名誉), because “lying was not condemned as sin, but simply denounced as weakness, and, as such, highly dishonourable” You will receive the rest of my explanation with the excerpt from the book after purchase. That way you’ll be able to decide on the order to your linkings if you want to.
