Bushido consists of 3 kanji below.

武 : military
士 : warrior, professional
道 : way

Putting the first two kanji together, it is 武士 (Bushi) and means ‘Samurai, warrior’. The last kanji means ‘way’.

The second Kanji (士) is a bit tricky one and this man got this kanji wrong ‘dirt’ on his neck. (Click here for the footage)

He got 土, which means ‘dirt’. What the asian guy is saying is that he needs to get the top part longer to fix that kanji to warrior.

Bushido Kanji Fail

In this case, fixing the kanji is possible. However it is inevitable that the result will be imbalanced. If he made the top part bigger, the vertical line would be too short relative to the other two horizontal lines and it would look squashed.
